If you don’t know who they are, then you’ve been missing many years of great craic. Anyone of my generation will remember Podge and Rodge fondly for their altercations with Dustin, Zig and Zag on what was supposed to be a children’s programme (Dempsey’s Den.) In more recent times, they have completed the ‘Scaretime’ series and are now the stars of Ireland’s funniest- and most successful- comedy production.
For over 20 years, Slugger has been an independent place for debate and new ideas. We have published over 40,000 posts and over one and a half million comments on the site. Each month we have over 70,000 readers. All this we have accomplished with only volunteers we have never had any paid staff.
