English Orange Bishop speaks in advance of the 12th

William Crawley gives us a heads up to a fascinating feature on his Sunday Sequence programme (40 mins in), in which an Orangeman extolls the virtues of dialogue and moving forward. As an English Bishop Henry Richmond is 52 years an Orangeman, although he lays the caveat that he is not familiar with a lot of the specific situations. His lodge is based in Oxford, which is mostly made up of people from Northern Ireland but more from Scotland. As William notes, when he speaks on the Twelth on Wednesday: “he will tell his Orange brethren that the preachers of the Protestant Reformation would be “amazed” at the extent to which some of their ideals have been realised in the present Roman Catholic Church”.
