September 26, 2005 Overheard in Dublin, tonight... RTE reporter to passing politician, "this story is live until Wednesday". That would bring us up to Peter Hain's announcement of 'confidence building measures' for Unionists. Then Northern Ireland presumably returns to the status of 'big sleep' in Dublin and the Republic. If SF/IRA can get 72 hours out of this non-story I'll be amazed. Silly season is over and there are real issues to talk about. Posted by: slug at September 26, 2005 09:42 PM SL: The show will go on in NI. But I'd guess the Republic's media is looking forward to checking out it for while.
