NI's druggie teens...
According to a survey by QUB, 10% of Northern Ireland 15-year-olds have become regular drug users. Academic's did a survey of 3,500 young people in the first 5 years of secondary school. The study found risk factors identified for being a regular drug user at 15 included having a risk-taking personality profile, being involved in trouble at school and in delinquent behaviour.

When i read this sort of stuff it makes me laugh out loud ! it reminds me of the professors lecture about 'dope fiends' in the film Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. nonsense, by people who havent tried drugs and so dont know what their enjoyable effects are.

teenagers trying drugs is just the same as when they start drinking. the more adventurous 'lads' in the class will try it long before the rest of the class. i dont doubt that trouble makers and deliquents try drugs early too, but its mostly people who recognise a fun thing when they see it.
Es took off in NI in 91/92. at this time myself and my mates were 17 and in 6th form. we got into the early rave scene taking Es. they were the best times possible, certainly nothing to do with trouble or deliquency. unfortunately pills these days are crap compared to what they were then.
