Yes, there's always someone who has to keep linking the Northern Ireland football team to the paramilitaries and the trouble in our society.

Perhaps we should stick a Tyrone shirt onto the Balaclava icon? That would be equally as hilarious, wouldn't it?

Someone got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning. eh iluvni?

I want to know where the "Show hidden weapons and explosives?" tickbox is. Also I think the start menu should have an "On the Run.." button.

Very nice work.

shay, go to Folder Options > View > Show hidden arms caches !

Posted by: eranu at September 28, 2005 12:19 PM

Where's the Burn CD & DVDs & Cars icon? ;)

Posted by: United Irelander at September 28, 2005 12:23 PM

"go to Folder Options > View > Show hidden arms caches"

They've already been deleted though. But that's the thing about Windows, you can always use a recovery program to get them back :)

Looks like they've already partitioned the hard drive for you. Ha ha, eh, ahem.

I got to say that made me lol. Pretty damn funny to be exact.

iluvni

Good to see the sense of humour bypass was a success.

Posted by: Donnie at September 28, 2005 01:35 PM

Och, surely you laughed at the paramilitary balaclava/Tyrone GAA shirt icon idea? :o)

Posted by: iluvni at September 28, 2005 01:39 PM

illuvni,
Take it for what it is-a good lauf! I don't think it's necessarily linking the Orange Order and the Norn Iron football team to paramilitaries, but instead just using some of the symbolism relevant to Ulster's society

The back ground should be of Murals.

Is it the intention of the designer that I can't find the Spyware?

Posted by: DaysLikeThis at September 28, 2005 03:08 PM

dayslikethis, to find the spyware you need to install IMC 2005. then make sure realtime scanning is enabled, always ! :)

Posted by: eranu at September 28, 2005 03:53 PM

Where's the shortcut to the ever essential Whataboutery 9.101 programme?

Posted by: Mick Fealty at September 28, 2005 05:20 PM

And the "Connections > Security Options > Barriers & Firewalls" feature - is it a one-way barrier like the old version, or will it now prevent reality from intruding, as well as conciliatory messages from getting out?

Not sure if this PC is very clever.

Every time an option box pops up i.e. 'Are you sure you want to Close down', there'll only be one possible answer...

NO!

Or maybe instead of Yes, No, Cancel it'll be an option of...

NO! NO! NO!

Posted by: smcgiff at September 28, 2005 05:52 PM

Let me guess...clicking the red hand opens up multiple windows that you cant close and some of which play really annoying music

Posted by: cynic at September 29, 2005 08:00 AM

LOL cynic

watch out for this file c:\windows\system32\SF.exe it is suspected spyware/adware. it runs in the background and monitors everything that is going on on your computer. it then sends the information to the server ira.com.
this file also pops up annoying ads about things no one wants or is remotley interested in ... :D
if you find this file you should delete it !!

Posted by: eranu at September 29, 2005 10:51 AM

On the contrary, although SF.exe is a hungry process, consuming a large share of system resources and bandwidth, it is an essential part of an inclusive operating system.

Deleting it could affect the stability of the whole system, and may lead to unexpected and serious side-effects.

iluvni:

FYI, the red hand symbol is the symbol on the Tyrone GAA jersey!
