Big blogging on the Big Bite!
Interesting discussion with a few bloggers I've been wanting to meet for some at RTE this morning. RTE's Big Bite programme goes live tomorrow about 2.25pm and features a lively discussion between Caoimhe Burke, Gavin Sheridan, John Ihle, Richard Delevan and Sue, (who is currently worried about a haunting in her house). Oh, and yours truly.

It was an interesting variety of bloggers. Fair play to David McWilliams, who seems to be ahead of the curve in recognising the phenomenon exists, never mind probing its potential.

I've asked for a tape of the programme. So, we may produce a transcript here on Slugger later in the week for those of you unlucky enough not have access to RTE!

I was talking to an Yvonne Nolan from 'The Big Bite' programme and she told me that RTE intend to post a list of Irish blogs on 'The B B' website ; so those of us NOT on the 'A List' (!)
may still get a mention ...

That would be the same Richard Delevan whose double standard was exposed today. A cheerleader for the American Invasion in iraq, he expends huge amounts of time and energy on villifying republicans - very much in the Sindo style.

However, today he thinks that the murder of a man in a bar in Dublin is the chance to make a joke. I think you can all guess what he taught about the murder in the markets.

Disgracefully hypocritical. He must be kicking himself for getting caught out so easily like this.

To Gehart:

Have you got an url or reference to Richard Delevan's joke about the murder of a man in a bar in Dublin?

Watching the RTE show discussing Blogs nice to see the faces of some involved. Just makes me feel a little old to be a blogger. Anyway you may like to check out my peculiar irelandtoo blogspot:-)

I thought it was a good discussion. I thought you spoke well Mick, as did the others. It should raise awareness for Irish bloging and perhaps it will encourage more Irish people to give blogging a go.

Good show, would be even better if the presenter let people talk and stopped dominating it!!

Interesting view voiced about female blogs being more accessiblr.

Hi,
It was good to connect faces with blogs. Out of interest I hope it's repeated in the future.
All the Best!
