ARA to target stood down UDA man
Looks like Jim Gray, the UDA commander who's recently been stood down, is another likely target for the Assets Recovery Agency. They've been noticably busier of late: almost entirely concentrating on Loyalists.

Excellent news.

It certainly is. Looks like the IRA is right though - if ARA success is anything to go by, the IRA doesn't engage in criminality(!)

au contraire Gonzo

They're concentrating on quick wins- they are menat to go 'self funding' as soon as they can and drugs (being more harmful to the community than diesel smuggling and counterfeit burberry I suppose).

The IRA will be harder to unravel- more international, more complex.

Anyway as I live in a Unionist area I am glad they are concentrating in the criminals nearest me, rather than the ones in Nationalist areas! I think Dodds has the wrong end of teh stick altogether..

Excellent news, I hope they take every penny!

As much as I agree that the ARA should be tackling Loyalist crime I think they shouldn't be scared of going after the IRA. Their probably selling as many drugs and stealing as many cars as the LVF/UDA etc.

Yes, Dodds just had to find a sectarian angle. If I lived in a nationalist area I would be raging that the thugs on my side weren't being dealt with.

That is good news. But what about the ones who smuggle feul in South Armagh. You know who I am talking about

Its great the way ARA sounds incredibly similar to the irsh word aire which means attention
