January 07, 2005 Ward Park Saddened to hear of the dreadful atrocity in Ward Park, Bangor. My earliest memory is falling into the pond when I was about three chasing a duck. What should we do with the 'people' responsible for events like the Horror as vandals slaughter park birds ? mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm let me think. Well we released fron the luxury of prison vile Republican scum that tried to wipe out the Protestants of Ulster. So I would reckon that nothing will be done over a few ducks, God Save The Queen.
Posted by: ulsterman I was wondering how long it would take for some cretin to bring the IRA into this.
Posted by: toronto Well they do enjoy their birdwatching, you know.
Posted by: Belfast Gonzo Perhaps, as dedicated ornithologists, they'll kneecap whoever did this.
Posted by: toronto Come on guys, this was horrible.
Posted by: Davros Despicable and all in an area where the PSNI enjoy the unequivocal support of the local population. How was this allowed to happen?
Posted by: Pat Mc Larnon in an area where the PSNI enjoy the unequivocal support of the local population. I take it that it's been a while since you went to Bangor Pat ?
Posted by: Davros Davros, you mean to tell me there is unlawful behaviour on Sylvia Hermon's patch.
Posted by: Pat Mc Larnon I would feel safer on the Falls Road than I would in a lot of areas in Bangor and the surrounds Pat. And I'm not kidding.
Posted by: Davros "do with the 'people' responsible for events like the Horror as vandals slaughter park birds ?" You guys still have fox hunts, don't you? Connect the dots........ Tally Ho!
Posted by: James But then does the UK ban extend to Northern Ireland? That's the real test to see if you're a suburb of Finchley.
Posted by: James People who hurt animals often end up doing the same to humans. These guys are probably worth catching. Better put the CCTV in the aviary than use pensioners as bait.
Posted by: aquifer Davros, I always thought that because Bangor was a sort of PSNI garrison town that petty criminality was at a minimum. I knew there was a problem with Kilcooley, but put that down to Belfast blow ins. I must say I am surprised by your analysis.
