Waiting for Bertie
Martin McGuinness's comments regarding the prospect of "dangerous ground" ahead, if sanctions are imposed on Sinn Féin by the Irish and British Governments, has been criticised by Fine Gael and the Irish Labour Party as "sounding like a threat".. and while we wait to see if Taoiseach Bertie Ahern will stand by his previous statements, on who knew what when, Harry McGee in the Irish Examiner reports that Minister Dermot Ahern has stated that Sinn Fein cannot adopt a position “that they are innocent in all of this” and that the party "must decide if it is going to be committed to politics".
