January 21, 2005 More new blogs on the blogroll I've been unpdating the blogroll down at of the right hand margin. On of the most enjoyable newcomers is Richard Develan, who's been keeping a close eye on the bank raid fall out. In one of his more recent posts, he quotes Jim Cusick on the David McWilliams show saying he believes Ahern will let Sinn Fein off the hook on the bank raid. Oh another right wing blogger to endless repeat the views of other right-wing bloggers. Yippee.

Posted by: Mick Fealty Very interesting read. Why on earth would Ahern want to let SF of the hook?. In a years time he faces an election where SF could well decide the fate of his coalition. What Nationalists have to grasp is it matters not a jot what Dublin, Rome or they think. The agreement is dead in the water. The problem with the agreement was inherent from day one. Nationalists portrayed it as a stepping stone to Irish unity while Unionists saw it as a done deal which strengthened the Union. Both could not be right. In this vacuum the key players changed. The DUP became the voice of Unionism. Most Unionists are very happy with direct rule. This, nationalists fail to grasp. The lure of office will never blind the DUP as it did the UUP. As long as the Union is secure is all we care about. It is more secure today than it has ever been. God Save The Queen.
