Couple of things :

1)How is Bill Lowry "associated with" the DUP ?

2) The interviewer seriously misquotes Lowry, who early in the interview says the police were NOT fishing, when talking to baby doc.

While we're on 'speculation', this RTE report points out the basis on which Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness found their belief of non-involvement by the IRA - "an anonymous republican source denied any IRA link" - and, to be pedantic here, they're just saying that they believe the 'source', they themselves are not actually denying the involvement of the IRA.

And while Junior is labelling this, prematurely, as the crime of the century (only 95 more years to go to test that one!), it's interesting that Martin McGuinness is demanding 'evidence'.. hmmm.. would 'photographs' suffice I wonder?

The 'evidence' is especially funny from Martin... Does he really expect Orde to say that Joe Soap of 1916 Chucky Towers, Falls Road , has told them that ....

Does Martin not remember that he claimed that HE had a duty to respect the confidentiality of certain people when he was giving 'evidence' to Saville ?

Lowry associated himself with the DUP during his speech in Kells, it was typical DUP venom.

Whether the interviewer is misquoting him or not Lowry is lying when he said the PSNI aren't fishing. It is quite obvious from their hapless efforts to date that they are.

I've removed my original comment pending further investigation of the facts. I may be in receipt of a yellow card shortly! ;-)

I seem to recall Bill Lowry commenting that he had been invited to speak on policing at the DUP meeting and that if SF invited him to speak on policing he would be more than happy to do so as well.. but if the 'association' mentioned is due to that appearance, does that mean that several SF representatives are 'associated' with the British Labour Party (and their associated securocrats).. they, and many others, have spoken at Labour Party conferences ;)

So in all honesty, Lowry is going to be invited to a SF Ard Fheis to spout the bile he poured forth to the DUP. Yeah, does he bring his own rope.

The DUP are not prepared to take the word of a General, why then are they prepared to take the unproven word of a politically motivated Chief Constable without a photograph as proof, after seeing is believing!

Why should we take the word of a party that cannot even decide how to spell it's own MLA's names ?
