December 01, 2004 A peerage?.. Sign the agreement! Almost missed this.. and that would nevah, nevah do. Simon Hoggart sharpens his quill and sketches the scene in the Commons as "the old Galapagos turtle" "slowly flippered his way into the chamber". Denis Skinner still in fine form too I see. And, completely unconnected to this post, or this one, honest, the read the title: "paisley lumbers in, looking for a peerage". Has he decided to stand aside for the UUP in North Antrim???
Posted by: Will Read the rest, Will. Denis Skinner is, as I said, in fine form still.
Posted by: peteb Hoggart is wonderful.
Posted by: Davros damn pedants ;)
Posted by: peteb LOL :) One other thing ... Andrew Marr is excellent, but giving an award to an employee of the Currant Bun ?
Posted by: Davros I can hardly correct that, Davros!
