December 21, 2004 Panto's 'Ugly Sisters' should sue In the Irish Examiner, Fergus Finlay has some fun with his inaugural Annual Political Pantomime Awards. Two awards to note in particular, The Ugly Sisters Award (guess who?) and the Cinderella Award - although, doesn't that imply that, at some point, the pumpkin-ness wasn't identifiable? Anyway, I'm sure you'll have some suggestions of your own. Surprise surprise, not one winner from the Labour / ex Official Republican Movement alliance. The loyalty from Dick Springs ex water carrier, even at this stage, is deeply touching.
Posted by: Pat Mc Larnon Surprise, surprise - not another snide little personal remark from Prat 'Shoot the Messenger' McLarnon? The loyalty of Sinn Fein's Sluigger water carrier, even when provoked by the slightest criticism of his beloved party, is deeply tedious.
Posted by: David Antsinpants Labour has had an awful year. The June election results were dreadful (ending up behind SF on the popular vote in the European elections and making nothing like the progress that was expected in the locals). The pre-election deal with FG only seems to have benefitted FG and caused disaffection in many vunerable Labour seats. Then to make matters worse the shambles over whether or not to field a candidate in the Presential election caused a major public exposure between "old Labour" (O'Higgins etc) with the Democratic Left interloafers. Of all the party leaders in this country, Rabbitte is under (by far) the most pressure.
Posted by: Keith M Attacked yet again from cowardly anonymity, how deeply gratifying knowing that I attract the attention of the cowards so much.
Posted by: Pat Mc Larnon You weren't 'attacked' Prat, you were mocked. But of course, only your mates are allowed to do that, aren't they?
Posted by: David Antsinpants
"You weren't 'attacked' Prat," The only prat around here is you
Posted by: cg Can one really fear a knee cap shooting from a man who fancies the name Antsinpants?
Posted by: Mario Mario Sounds like a boy who wouldn't know one end of a gun from another.
Posted by: cg My goodness CG, is the Vice-Chancellor aware of your familiarity with firearms? Must drop him a line...

"My goodness CG, is the Vice-Chancellor aware of your familiarity with firearms? Must drop him a line..." I don't know but seeing as I have a firearms license I don't think it really has anything to do with him, do you?
Posted by: cg I realise that no-one seems remotely interested in even attempting to suggest suitable recipients for the proposed Political Awards.. but let's leave out the man-not-the-ball posts... everyone.
Posted by: peteb Perhaps you could go round and attack Prat McLarnon then. He seems to have a burning yearning to be brutally victimised.
Posted by: David Antsinpants Let's try that again shall we... I realise that no-one seems remotely interested in even attempting to suggest suitable recipients for the proposed Political Awards.. but let's leave out the man-not-the-ball posts... everyone

"Perhaps you could go round and attack Prat McLarnon then. He seems to have a burning yearning to be brutally victimised." You really are unworthy of intelligent conversation.
Posted by: cg Then I've come to the right place.
Posted by: David Antsinpants David, I take exception to the view that I have a grubby house, it is quite nice actually. Also in my part of the world we don't have alleyways, that is so common.
Posted by: Pat Mc Larnon cg, you should check out david's own website at you'll love his friend andrew
Posted by: Fraggle Fraggle - The above David Antsinpants isn't David Vance.
Posted by: Davros could it be that the vance style lends itself too well to satire?
