Civil partnerships: civil right or gay marriage?
Two things worthy of note in last week's Hearts and Minds: the degree of agreement in the round table discussions at the beginning; and the lively discussion on civil partnerships - Steven King who argues that the expected UK legislation should be extended to NI with a minister who believes it's the thin end of the wedge for a longer term agenda to legitimise gay marriage.

A third thing worthy of note was Stephen King outing himself on the show, whether deliberatly or not (It's hard to tell with King).

I've always believe that civil parternships were far better (and more likely to find public support) that the nonsensical idea of "gay marriage". Of course beter still would be if the state recognised everyone as an individual and kept relationships away from their desire to nanny us.
