Thanks, Tony..

Fri 10 April 2009, 5:22pm

With nothing much for him to do locally, the International Representative for west Belfast, Gerry Adams, MP, MLA, has been globe-trotting again. This time it was a short trip to the Middle East. But, as The Jerusalem Post reports, it was only made possible with a little help from his friend..

Quartet envoy Tony Blair intervened directly with Defense Minister Ehud Barak to enable Northern Ireland politician Gerry Adams through the Erez Crossing and into the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, where he met Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, The Jerusalem Post has learned.

Engagement with Hamas seems like the best route for the West and its good to see Tony(although I presume he is politically debarred himself from forging links) is facilitating others – and particulalry those like Adams who has relevant experience and negotaiting skill in the resolution of ethnic/national conflicts.

yeah, there really isnt anything left for the MP for West Belfast to do for the people and area of West Belfast. i mean, hes taken the place from one of the most deprived areas in Europe to basically Heaven on earth. its now the last area of economic growth in the western world and all sorts of international business is flocking there, purely because of him.
what more could people expect from someone who turns up at his place of work 365 days a year and works many more hours than the industrial working week to better the lives of his constituents.

because of this everyone in west belfast will vote for him in the next election. they would hardly want someone who could perhaps do a better job? that would be daft!!!

good to see that now gerry has managed to deliver for the british in ireland, he’s jetting off to do the same in palestine. you gotta give imperialism some credit, it knows no boundaries!

the message appears to be that hamas must give up the right to use force to resist occupation. only then will they be allowed to negotiate the terms of their surrender.

adams is being used to draw hamas into a process which has nothing for them, or for the palestinian people. I wonder what’s in it for adams?

Just as soon as the USA stops talking down to parts of the world and bombing the shit out of other parts.

I never voted for a bush.
